Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant (Deadline: August 27) The Artist Initiative grant program is designed to support and assist artists at various stages in their careers by encouraging artistic development, nurturing artistic creativity, and recognizing the contributions of individual artists to the creative environment of the state of Minnesota. Grants will be awarded for career building and the creative development of artists, in some cases leading to the creation of new work. Each project must include a community component that will draw visibility to the artist’s work. A public performance or exhibition, a published work, an open workshop or demonstration that the public can attend, are all examples of possible community components. Download the PDF.
