"IFP was a crossroads, connecting many unconnected
dots in the MN film community for me during a very transitional
period in my academic career. Now that I can look back
on my time utilizing IFP's access and volunteer opportunities,
I can definitely say it was a huge contributor to my continuing
down the path to become a filmmaker." —Corey
Birkhofer Volunteering at IFP Minnesota:
IFP MN's annual operations are made possible by numerous
hours of volunteer time. Volunteers are important! Their
assistance in the equipment room and darkroom are invaluable
to IFP's regular staff. Volunteers are rewarded by accumulating
hours which translate into equipment and facility discounts:
Volunteer discounts go into effect after your first 20
hours. In order to remain active in the program you must
maintain a minimum of 20 hours every three months. All
volunteers must commit to a three-month minimum tenure.
Volunteers also receive a 40% tuition discount on classes
and workshops!
Volunteering at IFP MN also enables the emerging media
artist to establish networking connections and is a great
way for media pros to share their experience. Download
